Post from September 25, 2016

Hello everyone! I will try and keep thiis email short but so much happened this week I cant believe its already monday again!
On Tuesday at zone training Elder and I went on exchanges with Elder Fisher and Elder Dum. So what that means is that I was companions with Elder Fisher in his area and Elder Dum was in our area with Elder Waite for the whole day! It was so fun to work with Elder Fisher! He is such a smart missionary and is so so good with his Tagalog for being so young just like Elder Waite! We worked in Baloan and had a really fun time with eachother! It made me miss Luna even though it was just one day! haha
On Thursday we had dinner at one of our members house, Je-an! She is so nice and was willing to show us around our new area where the sisters once worked! She also made a delicious dinner and i gained at least 5 pounds just at that one dinner!
On Friday i hit my 6 month mark in the mission! Its crazy how fast time flies! I dont know where the time has gone but I can see now its true what all other missionaries say- you blink and youre almost done with your mission- I guess i will just need to keep my eyes open the next couple of days for time to slow down. I love working here in Luna and in the Philippines. 6 months sounds like a long time but it really is so short when you're working for the Lord.

That night to celebrate, Elder Waite and I bought Balut! It was his first time as well so it made the occasion even better! He seemed to like it enough! I didnt see him spit any out so thats a good sign!
On Saturday we had a service project in a neighboring city called Bangar! The missionaries and members there, and us, cleaned the outside of the chapel and dug up some weeds! It was really fun and the members in Bangar we so nice and outgoing! Then that night we had an FHE at the Nagrillo family household! I must have gained 7 pounds there! They went all out for Elder Waited birthday which was on Sunday! I will get to that in a second, but I want to express how much I love the Nagrillo family and how happy I am to be able to know them and be friends with them. They are so loving and caring, and Ramil, the father, has started to read the Book of Mormon and he is so smart and knowledgeable!
SUNDAY WAS THE BIRTHDAY OF ELDER WAITE! Happy birthday Elder Waite once again! I must have said it over 100 times yesterday with no regrets! At church we had so many members and investigators with us making the day even better. And after church a member, Sister Ofelia cooked us a huge lunch in honor of his birthday! only 4 pounds at that lunch was gained but boy was it delicious! After a hot long day of wokring and seeing our awesome investigators we made our way back to the house and partied! I cooked chicken sisig for dinner and after dinner we had cake! On saturday Elder Waite bought a cake from a shop that Elder Moreland and I spotted one day but never went to. Elder Waite got a carrot cake and it was So. Good. I cant explain how delicous it was, and to top it off we ate Mango Graham ice cream! (at least 7 pounds gained there)

All in all this week was so good. So many chances to talk with new people about the Gospel. 6 months down, 1 Birthday boy and if i counted correctly 23 pounds later, this week has ended and i am so excited for next week.
This work is so amazing and being able to help other come closer to Christ for the last 6 months makes me never want to stop. I love it and I love you all. Be safe and have a great week! Mahal kita!
