Ridin' Solo

Hello Everybody!! How was your week? How is your family? Happy BirthMonth Darren J. Pitt!

This week I had no companion! Weird for a missionary to sat that right? haha, Elder Lloyd was in San Fernando so I was livin the single life for a week! But! The missionaries in the other Branch here live in the same house as me so I wasnt that alone! Big shoutout to our Mission Leader, Brother Boy Baniago. He was awesome, he knew i didnt have a companion. So he told me that he would be my companion for the week! Meaning we were able to visit everyone we needed to during the week and the  other elders were able to work in their area as well! On Tuesday, I went with members of the Branch to Tineg, Abra! It was about 2 and a half hours away! But there was a meeting house there that got torn down by a Typhoon so we went to break up all of the wood and roofing. It was super maganda in Tineg. It is one of the last areas before you get to a different Province. I got quite the sunburn being up on the top of the mountain with no shade but it turns into a tan after a couple days right??

Thursday Elder Fenn and Vilela came with me to San Antonio to help plant corn seeds at the Baga's! We woke up at about 5 AM and got there right as brother Conrado was finishing up plowing! We were there for quite a bit, planting about 3 different fields but we had a blast doing it! I love being able to live just a sliver of the Filipino life. Its full of hard work and trust in the Lord that things will work out, because if they dont, you wont have anything to eat! Its a good thing that Our Heavenly Father watches over all of us. Being here is so humbling.
Then last Saturday after the baptism of Tatay Abat, we went to Vilia Viciosa! Which is another very far away land up in a different mountain range! We had a FHE with a member of the church and his family who is currently taking the discussions. I love being able to meet new people and go to far places to "Find the One".

Like I said, I was without a kasama but tomorrow I will get a new one! His name is...
Elder Van Dyke! Yes, he is from America hahha. Something about having American companions! I am super excited for the upcoming weeks ahead. Especially with the ber months in effect, people here are already prepared for Christmas!! I love it!!

I hope you all have a good week, I love you all! Find someone to help this week :)
