Hello Hello!! How is everyone doing?? Can you believe it is almost May? Where is the time going! This week flew by so fast I am so shocked it is already Monday again!
Last week was full of new things! On Monday after getting groceries and cleaning, we went and visited the Laconsay Family! They live around about 7 different members in the ward so they are not new to the word "Mormons" but they were very curious about our religion and beliefs! We talked with them about the Restoration and what that is, why its important, and how we can be blessed from it. Sister Laconsay had so many questions that were so good. We are hoping that we can go back and talk to them more often when they arent at work!
On Tuesday we had a Zone Training! The whole zone met up in the Lingsat chapel and we all shared ideas with one another about the work and how to better help people come closer to our Savior. Elder Tavita gave a workshop about the little things that the devil tries to do to keep the Spirit from abiding within ourselves! He used the example of
money,
music,
phones,
and sleeping in! (Satan got me real good on that last one when i was younger during the Summer!)
Using money for the "want" instead of the "need" can put a heavy burden on all of us. Especially all you College students reading this, you are not alone!! hahaha.
Music is awesome and I hope I can remember all the lyrics to High School Musicals soundtrack when im home,,, but it is distracting as well! I think almost everyone has had that feeling of "should i play this song right now?... moms home... probably shouldnt.." And thats okay! Hahah none of us are perfect but we need to remember that music puts thoughts into our minds, especially words. And those words tend to come out of our mouths when we listen to the music too often.
Phones-Self Explanatory!
Sleeping In- Now as a missionary this might be more applicable. Missionaries wake up every morning at 6:30 am in order to exercise and prepare food before studying and going out to proselyte! But as a normal civilian, being late to work, school, or to McDonalds before they stop selling Egg Mcmuffins at 10 can be very stressful and might make others mad at you. causing tension and driving away the feeling of Gods love -The Spirit-.
I loved Elder Tavita's workshop and his idea to think for 3 days about the little things that you are doing that is keeping the Spirit away. Then the hardest part, Be humble enough to accept that, and change it!
We all had lunch as a zone after the training which was very delicious! Everyone brought food for a pot-luck-like-lunch! Masarap!
The rest of the week was good too! Our new Ward Mission Leader help MCM on Friday and a lot of the members of the ward came too! Nanay Teresita came to church again this week and has also progressed so much in her understanding of the Gospel and the Spirit! I love the members of the Ward here and the people I am around! I am also grateful for the Spirit of God in guiding each one of us on our quest through life back to our Heavenly Father.
I hope you all have a great week! Dont forget to read the Book of Mormon! :)

Hello Hello
Happy Easter!
This week I wanted to focus primarily on how grateful I am for all of you who have taken the time to read these emails home. I am so happy to read your emails and stories/updates about your lives and adventures!
One of my favorite things that we as missionaries share to others is the Doctrinal Truth that Families can be Eternal. Familes are Eternal through the power of Christ. If you have never read The Family: A Proclamation to the World...
https://www.lds.org/topics/family-proclamation?lang=eng&old=true
Theres the link!
Because of Christ and what He did for us, we do not have to worry about our family. Through the Gospel, we will be able to return and live with our Heavenly Father, and our family. There is a Plan in place for us to do that!
During the week we focused most of our lessons on the Atonement and the importance of Christs Resurrection. Also in my personal study time, i have used the Bible Topical Guide in order to read all of the things Christ said to His people. Because of studying the Scripture, we can gain a stronger and stronger relationship with out Savior. We can gain the strength to overcome obstacles and trials through faith and following Christs Example.
Like I said last week was fun! Elder Acido, our kabahay got transferred so we had a new Elder come into the house! We welcomed Elder Kamalu, from Utah, with some Jollibee and rice! Hes been out on his mission for about 9 months. We all 3 are planning on helping Elder Plania learn English.. (whether he likes it or not!) :) haha. Nanay Teresita came to church again this week! She is now a regular at church it is so cool to see! Brother Antonio also helped us greet people at the door on Sunday and a member made a "Future Missionary" nametag for him to wear.
Love you all! Have a great week! Sorry that my emails have become short! I will try and send some more details next time!
As we were talking to people on the street, i told a man i was from Kennewick, Washington, and he pulled out a NatGeo book with the Kennewick Man in it!

General Conference
Hello Hello!
This whole week can be summed up by saying that Conference was so good and I am so grateful for a living Prophet of God.
We watched Conference at the church on Saturday and Sunday! Nanay Teresita came and watched Sunday's Session. Although she wasnt able to understand everything, she told us that she felt at peace as the music was sang and the speakers spoke! It truly helped me understand just how amazing the Spirit is in testifying of truth and helping all of Heavenly Fathers children learn and grow.
I loved being able to listen to the Lords chosen servants express to us what they know we all need to hear. They are messages of joy, peace, and love that are all able to be listened to again and again. If you haven't watched Conference, Watch it!
Transfers are this week and I am not transferring! Neither is Elder Tavita which means we will be with one another for at least 6 more weeks! Im so excited!! (Hopefully he is too) haha we work so well with one another and are always cracking jokes with one another, and also helping one another grow.
Thats about it for this week! Have a great week and a great Easter! Dont forget who its all about! :)
This is just a quick excerpt from President Monson's talk during Conference. Have a great week everybody! Mahal ko kayo!
"Because the Book of Mormon is true, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s Church on the earth, and the holy priesthood of God has been restored for the benefit and blessing of His children.
If you do not have a firm testimony of these things, do that which is necessary to obtain one. It is essential for you to have your own testimony in these difficult times, for the testimonies of others will carry you only so far. …
My dear associates in the work of the Lord, I implore each of us to prayerfully study and ponder the Book of Mormon each day. As we do so, we will be in a position to hear the voice of the Spirit, to resist temptation, to overcome doubt and fear, and to receive heaven’s help in our lives."

Hot blooded check it and see, got a fever of 103
Hello hello! Another awesome week here in Sevilla! On Tuesday we had a Zone Training and Sister Walters and Elder Tavita gave great workshops on our calling as missionaries and how to better go back to the basics of teaching in order to help others understand the Gospel and learn to live it! I love being around other missionaries and especially learning from them and their experiences!
I was pretty sick this last week so we weren't able to work all day every day as usual. But it gave us time while resting at the house to read the scriptures.
I read the book of Acts this week and loved the excitement and zeal the disciples of Christ had to go and share the Gospel with anyone and everyone. I learned so much and am so grateful that we have a account of Christ Ministry and His life here on earth through the Bible and also the Book of Mormon.
We get to watch the rebroadcast of General Conference next week so I am excited for that and the opportunity to listen to our leaders of the Church!
Like I said i dont have much to type about this week but I want to spotlight one of the members here in the Sevilla Ward! His name is Antonio! There is a picture of him all missionary-like at the bottom of this email. Antonio lives right across the street from us and every single morning, he wakes up all of the little kids at his house, gets them all showered and dressed, and sends em to school!
He also works at a store and cleans tables, takes out garbage etc. etc. Whenever he gets a tip from his boss, he takes it straight to a tindahan and will buy the little kids a snack so they can eat when they get home from school. He is the best. He sits with us every Sunday in all of our classes and also checks each room after church to makes sure its clean and the lights are off. Antonio is so awesome and has the biggest heart. We hooked him up with a white T-Shirt and a tie, so nice he can come to church and greet people with us as a Ward Missionary!
Hope you all have a great week! Love you all and if you havent watched Conference yet, get on that computer and start watching!
